Overall, venue space worked incredibly well, and guests all enjoyed it. I also appreciated your advice with how best to set up and using the curtain – worked a treat.

Food I gotta mention so many guests told us salads were top notch; they didn't think salads could taste so good! Venue looked stunning and staff were friendly and lovely. Nothing more I could ask for. If I have any friends looking for a wedding venue I will recommend Maritime Room!

The Maritime Room has everything you need for productive business meetings and off-sites. We offer a range of spaces, from a private boardroom to a large conference room, all with high-speed Wi-Fi, in-built projectors and large screens, quality sound systems and microphones. You can choose from boardroom, U-shape, classroom or theatre-style seating, and we can provide whiteboards, flip charts and stationery as needed.
Yes, we’re set up for both. Smaller groups – like leadership teams or workshops of 10–20 – often use our boardroom or a sectioned-off area for a focused, private setting. For larger meetings or presentations, our main space can host up to around 240 in theatre style, and more for standing formats. We can also create breakout areas, so you can move from plenary sessions into smaller workshop groups with ease.
Yes. Alongside our main event space, we have a dedicated oceanside boardroom for up to around 20 people. It’s a private, self-contained room with floor-to-ceiling harbour views, a central boardroom table, executive chairs, a large wall-mounted screen and Wi-Fi. Blackout curtains allow for privacy or presentations, and our team can provide discreet service for coffee, catering and tech support without disturbing your discussions.
Absolutely. We offer tailored meeting catering to keep everyone refreshed and focused. For half- or full-day sessions, we can provide arrival tea and coffee, morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch – anything from gourmet sandwiches and salads to hot dishes or working-lunch platters. We’re happy to include barista coffee, smoothies or light breakfast options for early starts, and we accommodate all dietary requirements.
The Maritime Room is fully equipped with modern AV. You’ll have access to high-resolution projectors, large screens, a quality sound system and a choice of handheld, lapel or lectern microphones. We can blackout the room for presentations, then reopen to natural light for breaks. Our tech team helps with setup, switching inputs, lighting adjustments and any troubleshooting, and we can support video conferencing or multiple AV setups for breakouts.
Booking is simple. Get in touch via our website, email or phone with your preferred date, approximate numbers and the type of meeting you’re planning. Our events team will talk through your layout, catering and AV needs, then send a tailored proposal or quote. Once you’re ready, we’ll confirm with a booking agreement and deposit, and stay in touch to finalise details so that on the day you can just arrive and get started.
