Our in-house catering team designs menus to suit your event, whether that’s a formal seated dinner, generous canapés or relaxed grazing stations, and we can accommodate any dietary restrictions. Yes, when you book The Maritime Room it’s yours for the duration of your event. We’re a private function venue, so you won’t be sharing the space with anyone else. That means complete privacy, full control over the atmosphere and a team that’s focused entirely on you and your guests. It really does feel like having your own private waterfront venue for the day or night.

It’s nice and simple. You can reach us by filling in the enquiry form on our website, sending us an email or giving us a call. Let us know your preferred date, the type of event and an approximate guest count, and our event manager will come back to you with options and availability. Yes, we ask for a deposit to lock in your event date. Usually this is the price of the quoted venue hire. Full payment is due a couple of weeks before the event. Yes, we have a list of reliable suppliers for flowers, styling, and entertainment who know the venue well. You’re also welcome to bring your own vendors if you prefer. We just ask that you coordinate with us in advance so everything runs smoothly on the day, including access and setup times for outside suppliers.

We welcome live bands, DJs, and dancing. The venue is sound-friendly and follows standard Auckland Council noise rules. Most events finish by midnight or 1 AM, but we can stay open as late as 3 AM. We’ll help you manage volume levels and plan your schedule based on your event style and timeline.

If something changes, we’ll do our best to help. We can usually move your deposit to a new date, depending on availability. Cancellations are handled according to our booking terms, with refunds only possible when we can rebook the date. Reach out early and we’ll work with you on the fairest solution.
