Absolutely. The Maritime Room is a popular venue in Auckland for team building events, off-sites and training days. We host these regularly, during the week or on weekends, in the daytime or evening – whatever suits your schedule. Because we’re in demand, it’s best to book ahead, but we’re definitely open for team building bookings and have plenty of experience running them smoothly.

The setting does a lot of the work for you. Your team steps out of the office into a waterfront venue with panoramic harbour views, which instantly lifts the mood. Our central Viaduct Harbour location is easy to get to, and the large, pillarless room can be set for workshops, challenge stations or indoor games. With quality AV and a hands-on events team, we make it easy for you to focus on the fun and connection.

Yes, that flexibility is one of our strengths. Smaller groups of 10–30 can enjoy cosy workshops or boardroom-style setups with lots of space to move. For bigger team days – 50, 100 or even a few hundred people – our main room can comfortably host everyone together or in breakout groups. The open, pillarless layout means no one feels cramped, and we can carve out separate zones for different team activities.

Yes, we’re very hands-on. Our event team will talk through your programme in advance, understand your activities and timings, and help with the ideal room layout. On the day, we manage setup, AV, room flips and any props or furniture changes you need between activities. Whether you’re running problem-solving games, an “amazing race” or creative challenges, we handle the logistics so your facilitators can focus on the team.

They are – and they’re an important part of the day. We can start with coffee, tea and light breakfast options, then add a mid-morning snack and a tasty lunch to refuel everyone. Think gourmet sandwiches and salads, or hot buffet dishes if you prefer something heartier. Afternoon tea, canapés and drinks, or even a deck barbecue can round things off. Menus are designed to keep people energised, and we happily cater for dietary needs.

Definitely. Many groups start with a presentation or briefing, then move into more active sessions – and the space is designed to handle both. We can set up theatre-style or in a circle for your morning talk, then quickly clear or rearrange furniture to create open space for games and activities. Opening the curtains to reveal the harbour view helps shift the mood, and our AV can switch from slides and microphones to upbeat background music in moments.
