The Maritime Room gives you a spectacular stage for a launch. Your product is unveiled against the Auckland Viaduct Harbour waterfront, which instantly lifts the whole experience and aligns your brand with quality. We’re central, easy for media and VIPs to reach, and the space can be styled however you need – from sleek showroom to dramatic reveal. Our events team knows how to build anticipation so that first impression really lands.
We host everything from intimate VIP previews to big-brand launch parties. For a standing, cocktail-style launch, we can comfortably accommodate up to 400 guests. If you’re planning a seated presentation or press conference, we can arrange theatre-style seating for a few hundred. Smaller launches of 50–100 people also work beautifully – we’ll scale the room so it feels full, energetic and right for the size of your audience.
You’ll have all the tools you need to put your product in the spotlight. That includes high-definition projectors and screens, a quality sound system, and programmable lighting to create the perfect mood or hit a cue for the big reveal. We can provide a stage, a green room, and plenty of space for demo zones, vehicles or displays. VIP areas, media zones and custom installations are all easy to build into the layout.
Yes – we want your launch to taste as good as it looks. Our in-house chefs can design catering around your brand and event style, from creative canapés and themed hors d’oeuvres to food stations and shared platters. We also offer premium beverage service, including Champagne toasts, signature cocktails and quality wines and beers. If you’d like a full sit-down meal, we can create a tailored menu that complements the flow of your event.
Definitely. Daytime launches make the most of our natural light and harbour views – perfect for media events and business-hour showcases. If you need a darker room for video, we can blackout the space. In the evening, the venue really shifts mood, with city lights and reflections on the water creating a more intimate, glamorous feel. Whatever time you choose, we’ll adjust lighting, staffing and catering so the event feels spot on.
We actively encourage you to put your stamp on the space. Bring in branded backdrops, signage, props, vehicles or large-scale displays – we’ll shape the layout around them. We can create dramatic reveals with curtains, entries or lighting cues, carve out VIP or press lounges, and match lighting to your brand colours. Our team will work with you on staging, flow and timing so every element – from the tech to the service – supports your launch story.
Come and see why The Maritime Room is known as one of the best venues for product launches in Auckland. Our team, location, and facilities will help make your event a success from start to finish.
The oceanside setting is sensational; the Viaduct is exciting; and the parking’s good too.
